A Haul Lotta LOreal - Eyes

This is the last in my LOreal series, I have just clumped the eyeshadow and eye liner into the same one as I didn't get many of them.

I think after testing out my LOreal items that I would defiantly take more notice at what they have now, as before I can't even remember really browsing their counter.

Super Liner Perfect Slim intense black
Retails for £7.99

On first impression of this product I really like it, the liner tip has a fine point on it so it's really good for winged liner. The colour pay off is really good and intense and the liner itself is really easy to use due to the soft grip. It is easy to wear during the day and I haven't found it smudges at all.

A lot of the time I don't like these felt tip kind of products as I find they tend to dry out really fast but so far this one has shown no signs.

I think for the price this is good value as long as it doesn't dry out anytime soon, I think I would defiantly re-purchase this as it's super slimline and easy to carry around.

Color Riche Eyeshadow
Cafe Saint Germain 201
Quartz Fume 502

As I have mentioned previously eyeshadows aren't really my thing but I am trying to get a nice collection of different shades in hope that they will soon start to be. It must be starting to work because I have used these a few times.

These two colours I am in love with, they are so pigmented and have great colour pay off. I imagine if you would use these wet they would turn almost into a foil shadow. They are really blendable which makes using them really easy.

I'm not sure of what the other colours are in this collection but I think I would defiantly have a look at purchasing some more.

In comparassion to my smashbox shadows I recently purchased the colour pigmentation isn't as strong on these and they have a little bit more fall out but I actually like them better as I think the LOreal ones were possibly a little bit more blendable.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Mascara

There's only a few more items in this little series, there are a few items like blusher and powder which I didn't buy because there wasn't anything that I liked the look of so they won't be featured.

Mascara is something I always find difficult as I have super straight and short eyelashes which neither make it easy.

Here is what I thought about these two.

False Lash Architect Black Lacquer
Retails for £10.99

I've actually had this mascara for a few months, previously to writing this blog I had only used it maybe once or twice, like I've said before mascara isn't really my thing, and this one was no different.

I found the product very wet and a little bit messy around the top, when putting it in and out of the tube it ended up all over my fingers.

I actually think that it's a little bit expensive for what it is, but for some people who have the right lashes it might work great for them as I have heard some good reviews about it.

However this one is just not for me!

Volume Million Lashes Excess  black/noir
Retails for £10.99

This one I did get with my haul of LOreal products so with the 2 for £12 offer this is a real bargain.

This one I liked more, the product was thicker and less sloppy. The brush is a small plastic brisel one which I find is better for a buildable mascara, which this one does really well.

Sometime I think that when trying to build up mascara one is not enough but two makes it clumpy but the small brush prevent this from happening so you could get a few coats on.

Only down side to this product is that it takes ages to get off, even with eye makeup remover.

I obviously prefer the second one however neither of these come close to my Urban Decay Pervison which is my ultimate favourite, I can not recommend this one enough.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Brows

There is my third part of my LOreal reviews, this time I'll be talking about their new brow product.

Brow Artist Genuis Kit light to medium
Retails for £9.99

This is their new brow kit. I got this because this is what I like to use, I've been spoilt with pencils, no one can make it like my Tom Ford so if I'm going to get something for my brows it'll always tend to be a powder.

Firstly I like this product, one side is cream and one side is powder, it comes with little tweezers and a little brush. It's available in two different colours light to medium and medium to dark, if anything I wish I'd got the medium to dark, I don't think when I tested this that is was dark enough for me.

For me, personally this doesn't do anything the BarryM one doesnt and that ones half the price. Maybe I might have thought differently if it was in a darker colour but the powders a good powder and the creams a good cream but so are the BarryM ones, and you get two powders in the that one.

I will use this product once my BarryM one runs out but I wouldn't choose to buy this one over that. I like it, it's a good product but personally there's nothing special about this that make it different from any of the other brow powders put at the minute.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Foundation

So this is my second review on this little love LOreal roll that I'm on.

This one is about two different types of foundation.

True Match vanilla rose

Retails at £9.99

So I've think I've tried this before and I wasn't keen on it, but this is a lot of YouTubers favourites so I thought I would give it another go.

Firstly it's a lighter foundation then what I normally wear, this was half way down my hand before I managed to get half my face done, so I insistently thought I would hate it again but actually it has good coverage.

I suppose when I tried it last time it would have been a few years ago and my skin type must have changed since then.

I liked the coverage of this, I would defiantly wear this more during the day or just popping out because I differently like something thicker. It's a perfect day foundation, nothing to thick but has enough coverage so you can see a difference.

I wouldn't say I would rush back to buy this again but I will defiantly using up what I have left, personally I don't see what all the hype is about, but that's just my opinion.

Infallible natural rose

Retails at £9.99

I also got this which says it's a stay fresh foundation for up to 24 hours, which I like anything that is claiming I will only have to put my makeup on once.

First impressions it stayed still on my hand so this is thicker then the True Match so I insistently thought this was more for me, which I was right, I love this.

I've been using Rimmels Wake Me Up for over a year now, I must have bought a least 15 tubes because I've never found anything that I like as much as that, until now.

Over the past week or so I have found myself reaching for this instead of my normal one. It gives a really good coverage without making your face feel to cakey, and the colour is perfect.

Something my wake me up foundation can make my skin feel and look oily after a few hours but this defiantly has a better staying power.

I have only been using this for a week or so, so I'm not fully converted yet but saying that I have been and bought another two whilst they had a 2 for £12 offer on, so I think this is defiantly on its way to becoming my new favourite.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Primer

Over the past few weeks I have really been falling in love with LOreal products, so obviously I have been and bought nearly the whole collection!!

It started when I was in Asda one day and there LOreal stand was closing down so all the products were half price so I bought a few items then and loved them so then a few days later I went into boots and they had all LOreal products 2 for £12, it was like fate.

As I've bought quite a few items I've decided that I will do a series of posts on these, rather then one gigantic one.  I'm going to do this series in the order you would apply it, well how I would apply it anyway. Starting with primer then foundation etc.

This is the blur cream, it's come in either light to medium or medium to dark. I love this it is very simular to the smash box pore minimized. Don't get me wrong it isn't as good but it is a third of the price at £9.99 but it does the same thing.

I bought both colours, I have wore this under foundation and just by itself with powder on and I love it both ways. When I wore it just with powder used the medium to dark because it has a bit more colour but just enough as I am quite a pale person.

It smooths your skin and defiantly does minimize the appearance of pores. I have used this nearly everyday since I bought it and have almost completely stopped using my chanel one, mostly because it is expensive so I'm trying to keep it now I've found something that I like, I would say maybe even better.

This is a defiantly must have for me now!

I also got the lumi magique, this one is very simular texture and appearance to the chanel one. I would say as far as primers go I prefer something more for pore minimising, for me I would view this as more as a moisturiser.

This gives your skin more of a glow and is a base luminzier, in my opinion anyways.

This is defiantly one for people who have quite smooth skin. I wore this and then put the blur cream on top which worked really well together.

I really like both products, they are both really good quality, but my favourite is defiantly the blur cream.

I've Got Lipstick On My Mind Again

I received my second lip monthly bag a a week ago, because I'm impatience I had already looked on YouTube to see what I was getting and to be honest the reviews hadn't been that great so by the time it had arrived I was already disappointed before I had even opened it, so it's just been sat on my kitchen bench for the past couple of days

So here is what I received;

1. Mica lip colour pot,  this I love! It is a really silky, super pigmented almost lip balmish. It's so smooth on the lips not drying at all and the colour is so beauty. I will defiantly use this again. This retails for $14.50

2. Ofra lipstick, even tho it's in a lipgloss tube, it's more of a silky lip stain. Again I love this one, I will defiantly use this, it is super pigmented, goes really nice onto the lips and I really love this colour. This retails for $19.90

3. Ecolips tinted lipbalm, this is just a standard lip balm, nothing to special but in this cold weather you can't have enough. Retails for $4.49

All of these I was happy with and would defiantly use.

Now here is where I got confused, so you are ment to get 4/5 products there only other item in my bag was a sample perfume. So on the card it says this retails for $12 im assuming that is the full size price because no way is that tiny sample which you get free normally is $12.

When watching the YouTube videos this is what most other people were complaining about.

For me I like the other products enough that I'm happy with this monthly bag. I think you really need to think that it is only £10 so you really have got your moneys worth.

Let see what next month brings.

Glossy Through My Post Box

My first Glossybox arrived this morning, I came home and saw the dreaded red card but when I looked it said they had left it in my shed thank god!

I don't know about anyone else but it could be something I have been waiting months for and if it gets red lettered it will take me at least a week to go and pick it up.

So here we are, the February addition of GlossyBox

So this is my first one and on first look I'm loving everything. I think this is £10 a month for 4/5 full size products so you get a really good bargain.

This box has the value of around £50 so again it really is worth the money.

I love subscription boxes because I think it gives you the opportunity to try different products and brands that you might not normally buy.

In this months box I received;

1. Wilkinson Sword hydro silk, this has the value of £9.99. I haven't used this one before but I have used the brand before and the other products were good.

2. Marsk mineral eyeshadow - fifty shades, this is a mineral eyeshadow in a dark shimmery black. This I could take or leave. For me mineral eyeshadows just ends up flaking down my face so I'm not a fan. Retail price is £14.49

3. So Susan rose quartet lip & cheek palette, love the colours of these, they are all the colours I have been wearing recently although I will just use it as a lip palette because I don't like cream blushes. Retail price £8

4. B. Cosmetics defined Brow Kit, I have used this brand before so I know there products are good quality and this is exactly the brow palette I normally use but this one has a extra colour then my normal one so I will defiantly have a little play with that. Retail price £9.99

5. Royal Apothic tinties, this is a light pinky lip butter, the packaging is the cutest thing, this is defiantly my favourite product from this months box. Retail price $14

I am impressed with this months glossybox and now I'm excited to see what I get over the next few months.

Now These Are Just Infallibly Good!

Recently I have really be loving LOreal products but there's one which has now turned into my holy grail of day lipstick!!

Please meet LOreal Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor

LOreal claims that this is the long-lasting, transfer-resistant colour color you,ve been waiting for.
1. Apply high intensity color for true pay-off that resists transfer, fading & bleeding.
2. Apply pro-seal balm to lock in color for up to 24 hours and leaves lips feeling moisturised!

I hear ya sister!!

It does all of that, I wouldn't hold it to 24 hours but at least 6 I would say. Which is more then any other lipstick I've ever had.

I wore this all day at work and only had to re apply the lip balm a few times because when it wears off it leaves your lips feel sticky but the color stayed put all day!

I loved this so much that the day after I went and bought the dark color.

I bought these from boots they are;
Incessant Russet
Invincible Sable

Boots currently have an offer on for any 2 LOreal products for £12, they are £9.99 by themselves so you defiantly get a good bargain there.

The boots near me only had about 6 shades but I've looked online and there's about 20 different ones in the range.

This is my new favourite work lipstick, no worries about re-applying, fading or smudging! It's perfect for a no hassle day look.

I Could Benefit From You Rolling My Lashes

This morning I picked up Elle magazine to get a sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash and to be honest I'm glad I only picked up the sample because now I know not to rush to buy the full tube.

As you can guess I was not impressed!

Maybe it's because I have really straight lashes but I didn't feel like it made any difference curl wise, I also didn't think you could build it very well, one coat wasn't enough but two coats made it look clumpy.

This has nothing on my Urban Decay Pervision, which it my all time favourite but I also thinks that Benefits They're Real is better.

I will continue to try it a few my times to see if I grow to like it but from first impressions this is a definite no from me!

I Would Put My Hands At The Mercy Of Laura

Hello Laura Mercier aka the smell of dreams!

I have made a few purchases over the past week or so, some out of need, some out of wanting and some purely because I just got paid!

This one is a mixture it's abit want and abit because it was pay day with a side of shopping on my break from work! Which btw is never a good idea.

I needed to go into fenwicks to pick up a few wants so I popped into town with a colleague, Paris ( I know what a fabulous name) and we walked past the Laura Mercier counter, now for the past 2 months everyday I have used Paris's hand cream, so she said why don't you get your own, I didn't need much persuading as her had ran out last week.

So I bought the almond and coconut milk hand Creme, I mean wow! First it literally smells so delicious that I want to eat my own hands off and secondly it just leaves your hands feeling so smooth.

It's one of them creams where you would spend most of your time saying smell my hands to the people around you just so everyone knows how delicious your hands smell.

The cream was £13, now I don't know how that figures compared to other hand creams because to be honest I can't remember ever buying one before, but this has changed my mind! Have I mentioned how delicious it smells??

You can buy this scent in all different types on products from body cream and bath cream, I would defiantly recommend this it everyone.

You Can Never Have To Much Coco In Your Chanel

I've always been a fan of chanel lipsticks, it all started when an ex boyfriend bought be one as a present, I just love everything about them, the packaging, the formulation, the colours. Like I said everything.

So last week I went and picked up a colour that I'd been after from the rouge coco collection, destinee. It is a beautiful dusky mauve pink. This is defiantly going to be one of my day time favourites, I just love everything about it.

When I was at the counter I found out the rouge collection is being re launched at the end of the month, they are  discontinuing some of the colours and have reformulated and changed some of there current colour.

Thank god I picked up that one when I did.

They are also re naming all the rouge collection this time by Cocos lovers and friends. They will be early launching one at the 12th of this month called Arthur, who was ment to be Cocos one true love. Arthur is their bright red with slight orange tones to it I would say, but I only got a small sample, so don't hold me to that.

I got samples of a few of them and from what I can tell from first look is that the formulation it's defiantly thicker which should in theory make the colour even more pigmented.

I obviously have my eye on a few so no doubt I will be reviewing them properly once they have been launched.
