Holy Cow You Need This Now

So you know that feeling you get when something amazing happens?

Well that's the feeling I had when Debenhams launched MakeUpForever.

Almost all of the YouTube girls I watch have been using this forever but there was no where in the UK that stocked them, I looked a few times at ordereing them and getting them shipped but the cost was just to much.

So obviously I had to make a purchase as soon as they had launched, there isn't any in stores around where I live so I risked the online foundation order.

So let's talk about the products;

I got the HD foundation and my god the first time I put this on it was like putting skin coloured butter on my face!!
Wow
This is so long wearing and literally gives you the most flawless looking skin I've ever seen.
I wore this for a 10 hours at work and when I walked out it hadn't budged!
This is the holy grail of holy grails, I think I would struggle to find something as flawless and glowing looking as this.
It was £32 which is pricey but nothing more then you would pay for any other high end foundation and the product is totally worth it.

And then there was the powder!!
If I could only chose one I thing it would have to be the powder.
The powder and the foundation are amazing together, but the powder makes every foundation look amazing once this has been put on top of it.
I've been wearing the LOreal Infalliable foundation and then putting this onto and it looks amazing.
Don't get me wrong it doesn't give you the same flawless finish as it does with the foundation however it is definitely up there.
I think this was about £25 so again it is expensive but nothing major if your used to buying high end.

Next I'm going to try there new step 1 primers.

Can you get flawless on top of flawless? Because there are definitely giving it a good go

Oh Hell It's The Healthy Time Of Year

So it's that time of year again!

JuicePlus

Last year, still holding quite a bit of 'baby weight' my friend persuaded me to start my juice plus journey, I loved it!

For some reason it felt easy, I liked to see instant results so I imagine that is why. In the first week I lost 6 pound.
That was is me sold!

Over the course of 8 weeks some weeks definitely being more into it then others, I lost nearly 2 stone and 2 dress sizes. It was exactly what I needed.

The basic principal is you have 2 shakes a day, mixed with either almond, coconut or rice milk, healthy snacks and a clean meal.

It was actually very easy, for me anyways, I had a goal, my holiday, and I was seeing results so that was keeping me motivatived and in the zone!

So after being off work for a few weeks and eating my way through Cadbury land I decided to purchase another load of these shakes and this time the capsules as well which are ment to promote healthy skin and hair.

JuicePlus lets you go onto a monthly payment plan as like most diets it's expensive if you pay for all 4 months at once, I think I'm paying £45ish per month for 4 months of shakes and the capsules.

It works out less then a bar of chocolate a day, now obvious that I remember ha

I am going to be posting my weekly journey and meals so yous can see exactly what it is like.

I feel in the zone waiting for my little parcel to arrive so I'm hoping I will have a good week!!

So watch out for my weekly posts if your interested!

Email: makeupnotice@gmail.com if you would like me to pass on more success story's and my distributors information

Let's Tell The Truth About The Tan

So is it just me or does everyone else feel like as soon as there is a glimmer of sun they must dust off there tanning products and become a bronze goddess once again.
Even tho it has been completely acceptable to resemble a ghost for the last 6 months I now feel under pressure to be head to toe tanned as all times.
I must admit I was completely caught out in that first day and possible the second, I had tan in my house but it wasn't the good stuff. I was the horrible patchy stuff and in my mind I just wasn't prepared to shred half my skin whilst trying to take it off.

So I went and purchased what can only be described as my holy grail of tan!!

Here you go, and your welcome!!

I got the rapid version, this is a very running liquid which I like, just put a few drops on your tanning mit and let the tanning commence.
This like most now this has a colour guide and develops in about 4 hours.

After trying a lot and I mean a lot of tans this is by far my favourite, it was about £20 which is pricey but it's a big bottle and you really don't use much so for me it's definitely worth it.

Enjoy being a golden goddess without the pricey holiday

In My Opinion Of Course

Just a quick one!!

Over the last few weeks I have been using a combination of foundations which literally make the most perfect foundation EVER!

In my opinion of course!

This is what I have on in the picture above, it really does make your skin look flawless.

I have been mixing two together, my trusted faithful Rimmel Wake Me Up and LOreal Infallible.

I have them both in a light and darker shade for when I'm tanned so I can mix them to make the perfect colour if I'm an in between shade.

I have often, not loads, but definitely more recently seen YouTubers have started mixing different ones together so I thought why not try it with my two favourites.

One another note I have also fallen completely in love with Mac Pro Longwear Concealor again and don't no why I stop using it but I bought it again a few weeks back and I'm just in love.

I also contoured with the new seventeen palette which I will review next because that is a definite must have!

Lets Start From the Begining

So one of the reason I got so into makeup products and reviewing and trying out so much different stuff is a lot to do with watch hours and hours of YouTube videos.

So I've decided that I would tell you my favourite people to watch.

I don't just watch these few however these are the people I find myself going back to time and time again, repeat watching videos and checking if they have uploaded anything new.

I think to become a successful YouTube person you have to have something about your personality, I continue to watch these people because I want to hear the thought and I want to know what new items they have got but also I want to know what they have been doing. These people don't just do a tutorials or reviews they do updates on there life, what they have been doing, talk about relationships and even new products they have been using.

This is who I like, and this is why I continue to watch the same few people.

Nicola Guerriero

She was probably the first person I found myself continueing to go back and watch all the time, she is really funny, and unlike a few other she doesn't edit all her mistakes out of her videos.

She wears the same kind of makeup like me, nothing to flash, a lot of nudes and natural colours with a bold lip.

She comes across as a really person and is very easy to watch

Kathleen Lights

She is one of the new ones I've started watching, I just stumbled upon her when I was looking at different subscription boxes.

She is also very funny and very chatty.

Some people I guess just want tutorials and reviews with no extra chat but that's what keeps me going back people.

Barbara Rossi - ThePersianbabe

I have only been watching Barbara over that last few weeks,

She is very sheek and does really good look books, she is from the UK so defiantly more relatable to me.

Barbara talks more about fashion then makeup but she still does pick up on a lot of different topics .

I also watch;
Carly Bybal
A Little Obsessed
Lily Pebbles
Lily Melrose
Zoella

Just to name a few, I would suggest just having a good look on the side and look at one of the suggestions.

New Years Resolution

These are my goals before the end of the year.

The Chloe perfume I treated myself to last week, I got the small 30ml because I was looking for something that I could carry around in my bag because my Paul Smith Rose which I normally use in 100ml which I feel like it's carry a brick around with me and with nappies, wipes, 5 lipsticks (mostly all nudes) random bikes and cars all in my bag I just don't need the extra weight.

I think my next treat will be Banana powder, there's only so many times you can add something into your shopping basket before you take the plunge right.

Then after that it'll defiantly be the Tarte Amazonian Clay blusher, whilst search for UK stockers I found out that you can buy them from QVC and also most of the products you get a brush with them which you don't normally get if you just order online.

The rest will just come over the year I hope.

I don't always buy expensive make up because most of the time I think the high street brands do things just as good but hey a girls got to have something to look forward too.

All White Everything

Yes am I very aware that it is know where near my birthday and chirstmas is even further away but I need these!

Mam if your reading this, these are all from river island!!

Everyone has a preference of the shop that they like the most, I always think more adventurous people shop in topshop, but personally I find them sizest.
And by sizest anyone who isn't a stick will have noticed this, they literally only stock 4 and 6, there's something a little bit sad about reaching the last one on the rail and it being a 8.
I have thought this for so long that I don't even bother going in to look anymore.

I am totally more of a River Island girl, and have been for years. I always think no matter what the season they always have a least one good collection.

I'm really starting to get into whites and nudes, I don't know why as having a two year old this can never be a good idea but still I love this who collection.

So again anyone feel free to get me these, any will do but all is best!

There Ain't Nothing Healthy About Competition

GlossyBox VS BirchBox

So a few weeks back I posted about my first glossybox which I loved, one because I love coming home to things like that I feel like it's a little present.
Too me From me!

And two because I love trying little samples.

So with this in mind I also subscribed to BirchBox.

So far I've received two boxes, I didn't post about the first one because I wasn't a fan, so I thought I would give it another chance and wait for my second box to arrive.

Well it did in Monday and so did the feeling of disappointment.

To be honest, it's not great. The samples are small. One of the face serums I got barely had one use in them, which if you can't test out the product properly, to me, kind of defeats the object of being a tester.

In both boxes I got shampoo which would be ideal for travelling, if you had short hair, which I'll add I do not.

I think I could possibly have liked this box had I got just that and not glossybox as well, but for me I would choose glossybox.

One thing they do which, I love/hate is in the boxes they leave a sneak peak of what is coming the month after, last month was benefit, which came in the form of a travel size of they're really mascara, which I do love actually and this month was a sneaky peek that there'll be something from Laura Mercer. Which obviously now means I won't cancel it.

They do say curiosity killed the cat!

Bow Down Bitches!!

I have finally managed to get my hands on Velvet Teddy by Mac!!

Honestly when my post came yesterday I did a little dance whilst walking over to get it.

This lipstick has been out of stock since about October, thanks to Kylie Jenner, who is said to be wearing it in the above photo.

Naturally I had to wear it today, it really is the perfect peachy brown and looks really nice especially because I've got a tan at the minute.

I think I have mentioned this lipstick a few times already just by the pure hype of it but I had kind of stop asking about it because it really seemed like nowhere was ever going to get it back in, I literally just stumbled it when I was ordering the Pro Longwear Concealor online.

If you can get one I would defiantly recommend it, I'm in love.

New Job, New Wardrobe, Right??

So for those of you who don't know, I am a Manager of a restaurant! Well I was until Thursday!

I worked for the company for 4 years, and some of them years felt like long years! But for the most part I enjoyed them, however for the last few months I hadn't really been enjoying myself, I think a little of this was to do with me being bored.

So I took the plunge and accepted a job I was offer, and I have felt sick ever since. For me I hate not knowing things and the thought of going into somewhere new where I don't know anything scares the hell out of me!!

So I did want anyone would do to carm myself down, I bought some new work wear!! That's what everyone does right??

River Island £45 grey relaxed cotton jersey cocoon jacket
Topshop £36 MOTO black Joni Jeans
River Island £25 White smart cotton shirt
New Look £17.99 Black snakeskin textured panel pointed pumps

I love this outfit, this is what I think I will wear on my first day. I will wear a gold necklace with it because I'm not a massive fan of buttoning up my collar. I have rather large boobs so if I do I think I just end up looking like one big boob.

Another thing I loved about this shirt is that I could get it in a size 10, it is ment to be women looser then what I'll be wearing it, but still it's been a while since I've fit into anything that's a size 10 so I was having it.

I like this look because I think it's smart but it's still something I would wear, I hate the thought of wearing something that I would feel uncomfortable in. I personally think I spend the day thinking about what I look like rather then work.

New Look £32.99 stone waterfall jacket
River Island £25 light blue cambray rolled cuff shirt
Topshop £36 MOTO White Joni jeans
New Look £19.99 light brown leather ballet pumps

First these pumps in the picture aren't my actual ones, I bought the pointed one in brown that are in the other outfit but I couldn't find a picture online.

For me this outfit is a little bit different to what I would normalled wear, I think I have mentioned before that I was a all black everything sort of person but I thought it was spring now and I have just lightened my hair was I wanted to try something different.

I love this outfit, I know it is similar to the other one but like I said before I know I will feel comfortable in these and that's what I was looking for.

I love ( capital L O V E) Joni jeans, these are my favourite jeans! And I mean favourite! They are a stretchy, high waisted jean. They are just so comfortable. After having a baby my tummy area has never been the same and these just tuck everything in so I'm not as self conscious. For me these are defiantly the perfect mummy jean.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Eyes

This is the last in my LOreal series, I have just clumped the eyeshadow and eye liner into the same one as I didn't get many of them.

I think after testing out my LOreal items that I would defiantly take more notice at what they have now, as before I can't even remember really browsing their counter.

Super Liner Perfect Slim intense black
Retails for £7.99

On first impression of this product I really like it, the liner tip has a fine point on it so it's really good for winged liner. The colour pay off is really good and intense and the liner itself is really easy to use due to the soft grip. It is easy to wear during the day and I haven't found it smudges at all.

A lot of the time I don't like these felt tip kind of products as I find they tend to dry out really fast but so far this one has shown no signs.

I think for the price this is good value as long as it doesn't dry out anytime soon, I think I would defiantly re-purchase this as it's super slimline and easy to carry around.

Color Riche Eyeshadow
Cafe Saint Germain 201
Quartz Fume 502

As I have mentioned previously eyeshadows aren't really my thing but I am trying to get a nice collection of different shades in hope that they will soon start to be. It must be starting to work because I have used these a few times.

These two colours I am in love with, they are so pigmented and have great colour pay off. I imagine if you would use these wet they would turn almost into a foil shadow. They are really blendable which makes using them really easy.

I'm not sure of what the other colours are in this collection but I think I would defiantly have a look at purchasing some more.

In comparassion to my smashbox shadows I recently purchased the colour pigmentation isn't as strong on these and they have a little bit more fall out but I actually like them better as I think the LOreal ones were possibly a little bit more blendable.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Mascara

There's only a few more items in this little series, there are a few items like blusher and powder which I didn't buy because there wasn't anything that I liked the look of so they won't be featured.

Mascara is something I always find difficult as I have super straight and short eyelashes which neither make it easy.

Here is what I thought about these two.

False Lash Architect Black Lacquer
Retails for £10.99

I've actually had this mascara for a few months, previously to writing this blog I had only used it maybe once or twice, like I've said before mascara isn't really my thing, and this one was no different.

I found the product very wet and a little bit messy around the top, when putting it in and out of the tube it ended up all over my fingers.

I actually think that it's a little bit expensive for what it is, but for some people who have the right lashes it might work great for them as I have heard some good reviews about it.

However this one is just not for me!

Volume Million Lashes Excess  black/noir
Retails for £10.99

This one I did get with my haul of LOreal products so with the 2 for £12 offer this is a real bargain.

This one I liked more, the product was thicker and less sloppy. The brush is a small plastic brisel one which I find is better for a buildable mascara, which this one does really well.

Sometime I think that when trying to build up mascara one is not enough but two makes it clumpy but the small brush prevent this from happening so you could get a few coats on.

Only down side to this product is that it takes ages to get off, even with eye makeup remover.

I obviously prefer the second one however neither of these come close to my Urban Decay Pervison which is my ultimate favourite, I can not recommend this one enough.

Saturday 14 February 2015

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Brows

There is my third part of my LOreal reviews, this time I'll be talking about their new brow product.

Brow Artist Genuis Kit light to medium
Retails for £9.99

This is their new brow kit. I got this because this is what I like to use, I've been spoilt with pencils, no one can make it like my Tom Ford so if I'm going to get something for my brows it'll always tend to be a powder.

Firstly I like this product, one side is cream and one side is powder, it comes with little tweezers and a little brush. It's available in two different colours light to medium and medium to dark, if anything I wish I'd got the medium to dark, I don't think when I tested this that is was dark enough for me.

For me, personally this doesn't do anything the BarryM one doesnt and that ones half the price. Maybe I might have thought differently if it was in a darker colour but the powders a good powder and the creams a good cream but so are the BarryM ones, and you get two powders in the that one.

I will use this product once my BarryM one runs out but I wouldn't choose to buy this one over that. I like it, it's a good product but personally there's nothing special about this that make it different from any of the other brow powders put at the minute.

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Foundation

So this is my second review on this little love LOreal roll that I'm on.

This one is about two different types of foundation.

True Match vanilla rose

Retails at £9.99

So I've think I've tried this before and I wasn't keen on it, but this is a lot of YouTubers favourites so I thought I would give it another go.

Firstly it's a lighter foundation then what I normally wear, this was half way down my hand before I managed to get half my face done, so I insistently thought I would hate it again but actually it has good coverage.

I suppose when I tried it last time it would have been a few years ago and my skin type must have changed since then.

I liked the coverage of this, I would defiantly wear this more during the day or just popping out because I differently like something thicker. It's a perfect day foundation, nothing to thick but has enough coverage so you can see a difference.

I wouldn't say I would rush back to buy this again but I will defiantly using up what I have left, personally I don't see what all the hype is about, but that's just my opinion.

Infallible natural rose

Retails at £9.99

I also got this which says it's a stay fresh foundation for up to 24 hours, which I like anything that is claiming I will only have to put my makeup on once.

First impressions it stayed still on my hand so this is thicker then the True Match so I insistently thought this was more for me, which I was right, I love this.

I've been using Rimmels Wake Me Up for over a year now, I must have bought a least 15 tubes because I've never found anything that I like as much as that, until now.

Over the past week or so I have found myself reaching for this instead of my normal one. It gives a really good coverage without making your face feel to cakey, and the colour is perfect.

Something my wake me up foundation can make my skin feel and look oily after a few hours but this defiantly has a better staying power.

I have only been using this for a week or so, so I'm not fully converted yet but saying that I have been and bought another two whilst they had a 2 for £12 offer on, so I think this is defiantly on its way to becoming my new favourite.

C

A Haul Lotta LOreal - Primer

Over the past few weeks I have really been falling in love with LOreal products, so obviously I have been and bought nearly the whole collection!!

It started when I was in Asda one day and there LOreal stand was closing down so all the products were half price so I bought a few items then and loved them so then a few days later I went into boots and they had all LOreal products 2 for £12, it was like fate.

As I've bought quite a few items I've decided that I will do a series of posts on these, rather then one gigantic one.  I'm going to do this series in the order you would apply it, well how I would apply it anyway. Starting with primer then foundation etc.

This is the blur cream, it's come in either light to medium or medium to dark. I love this it is very simular to the smash box pore minimized. Don't get me wrong it isn't as good but it is a third of the price at £9.99 but it does the same thing.

I bought both colours, I have wore this under foundation and just by itself with powder on and I love it both ways. When I wore it just with powder used the medium to dark because it has a bit more colour but just enough as I am quite a pale person.

It smooths your skin and defiantly does minimize the appearance of pores. I have used this nearly everyday since I bought it and have almost completely stopped using my chanel one, mostly because it is expensive so I'm trying to keep it now I've found something that I like, I would say maybe even better.

This is a defiantly must have for me now!

I also got the lumi magique, this one is very simular texture and appearance to the chanel one. I would say as far as primers go I prefer something more for pore minimising, for me I would view this as more as a moisturiser.

This gives your skin more of a glow and is a base luminzier, in my opinion anyways.

This is defiantly one for people who have quite smooth skin. I wore this and then put the blur cream on top which worked really well together.

I really like both products, they are both really good quality, but my favourite is defiantly the blur cream.

I've Got Lipstick On My Mind Again

I received my second lip monthly bag a a week ago, because I'm impatience I had already looked on YouTube to see what I was getting and to be honest the reviews hadn't been that great so by the time it had arrived I was already disappointed before I had even opened it, so it's just been sat on my kitchen bench for the past couple of days

So here is what I received;

1. Mica lip colour pot,  this I love! It is a really silky, super pigmented almost lip balmish. It's so smooth on the lips not drying at all and the colour is so beauty. I will defiantly use this again. This retails for $14.50

2. Ofra lipstick, even tho it's in a lipgloss tube, it's more of a silky lip stain. Again I love this one, I will defiantly use this, it is super pigmented, goes really nice onto the lips and I really love this colour. This retails for $19.90

3. Ecolips tinted lipbalm, this is just a standard lip balm, nothing to special but in this cold weather you can't have enough. Retails for $4.49

All of these I was happy with and would defiantly use.

Now here is where I got confused, so you are ment to get 4/5 products there only other item in my bag was a sample perfume. So on the card it says this retails for $12 im assuming that is the full size price because no way is that tiny sample which you get free normally is $12.

When watching the YouTube videos this is what most other people were complaining about.

For me I like the other products enough that I'm happy with this monthly bag. I think you really need to think that it is only £10 so you really have got your moneys worth.

Let see what next month brings.

Glossy Through My Post Box

My first Glossybox arrived this morning, I came home and saw the dreaded red card but when I looked it said they had left it in my shed thank god!

I don't know about anyone else but it could be something I have been waiting months for and if it gets red lettered it will take me at least a week to go and pick it up.

So here we are, the February addition of GlossyBox

So this is my first one and on first look I'm loving everything. I think this is £10 a month for 4/5 full size products so you get a really good bargain.

This box has the value of around £50 so again it really is worth the money.

I love subscription boxes because I think it gives you the opportunity to try different products and brands that you might not normally buy.

In this months box I received;

1. Wilkinson Sword hydro silk, this has the value of £9.99. I haven't used this one before but I have used the brand before and the other products were good.

2. Marsk mineral eyeshadow - fifty shades, this is a mineral eyeshadow in a dark shimmery black. This I could take or leave. For me mineral eyeshadows just ends up flaking down my face so I'm not a fan. Retail price is £14.49

3. So Susan rose quartet lip & cheek palette, love the colours of these, they are all the colours I have been wearing recently although I will just use it as a lip palette because I don't like cream blushes. Retail price £8

4. B. Cosmetics defined Brow Kit, I have used this brand before so I know there products are good quality and this is exactly the brow palette I normally use but this one has a extra colour then my normal one so I will defiantly have a little play with that. Retail price £9.99

5. Royal Apothic tinties, this is a light pinky lip butter, the packaging is the cutest thing, this is defiantly my favourite product from this months box. Retail price $14

I am impressed with this months glossybox and now I'm excited to see what I get over the next few months.

Now These Are Just Infallibly Good!

Recently I have really be loving LOreal products but there's one which has now turned into my holy grail of day lipstick!!

Please meet LOreal Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor

LOreal claims that this is the long-lasting, transfer-resistant colour color you,ve been waiting for.
1. Apply high intensity color for true pay-off that resists transfer, fading & bleeding.
2. Apply pro-seal balm to lock in color for up to 24 hours and leaves lips feeling moisturised!

I hear ya sister!!

It does all of that, I wouldn't hold it to 24 hours but at least 6 I would say. Which is more then any other lipstick I've ever had.

I wore this all day at work and only had to re apply the lip balm a few times because when it wears off it leaves your lips feel sticky but the color stayed put all day!

I loved this so much that the day after I went and bought the dark color.

I bought these from boots they are;
Incessant Russet
Invincible Sable

Boots currently have an offer on for any 2 LOreal products for £12, they are £9.99 by themselves so you defiantly get a good bargain there.

The boots near me only had about 6 shades but I've looked online and there's about 20 different ones in the range.

This is my new favourite work lipstick, no worries about re-applying, fading or smudging! It's perfect for a no hassle day look.

I Could Benefit From You Rolling My Lashes

This morning I picked up Elle magazine to get a sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash and to be honest I'm glad I only picked up the sample because now I know not to rush to buy the full tube.

As you can guess I was not impressed!

Maybe it's because I have really straight lashes but I didn't feel like it made any difference curl wise, I also didn't think you could build it very well, one coat wasn't enough but two coats made it look clumpy.

This has nothing on my Urban Decay Pervision, which it my all time favourite but I also thinks that Benefits They're Real is better.

I will continue to try it a few my times to see if I grow to like it but from first impressions this is a definite no from me!

I Would Put My Hands At The Mercy Of Laura

Hello Laura Mercier aka the smell of dreams!

I have made a few purchases over the past week or so, some out of need, some out of wanting and some purely because I just got paid!

This one is a mixture it's abit want and abit because it was pay day with a side of shopping on my break from work! Which btw is never a good idea.

I needed to go into fenwicks to pick up a few wants so I popped into town with a colleague, Paris ( I know what a fabulous name) and we walked past the Laura Mercier counter, now for the past 2 months everyday I have used Paris's hand cream, so she said why don't you get your own, I didn't need much persuading as her had ran out last week.

So I bought the almond and coconut milk hand Creme, I mean wow! First it literally smells so delicious that I want to eat my own hands off and secondly it just leaves your hands feeling so smooth.

It's one of them creams where you would spend most of your time saying smell my hands to the people around you just so everyone knows how delicious your hands smell.

The cream was £13, now I don't know how that figures compared to other hand creams because to be honest I can't remember ever buying one before, but this has changed my mind! Have I mentioned how delicious it smells??

You can buy this scent in all different types on products from body cream and bath cream, I would defiantly recommend this it everyone.

You Can Never Have To Much Coco In Your Chanel

I've always been a fan of chanel lipsticks, it all started when an ex boyfriend bought be one as a present, I just love everything about them, the packaging, the formulation, the colours. Like I said everything.

So last week I went and picked up a colour that I'd been after from the rouge coco collection, destinee. It is a beautiful dusky mauve pink. This is defiantly going to be one of my day time favourites, I just love everything about it.

When I was at the counter I found out the rouge collection is being re launched at the end of the month, they are  discontinuing some of the colours and have reformulated and changed some of there current colour.

Thank god I picked up that one when I did.

They are also re naming all the rouge collection this time by Cocos lovers and friends. They will be early launching one at the 12th of this month called Arthur, who was ment to be Cocos one true love. Arthur is their bright red with slight orange tones to it I would say, but I only got a small sample, so don't hold me to that.

I got samples of a few of them and from what I can tell from first look is that the formulation it's defiantly thicker which should in theory make the colour even more pigmented.

I obviously have my eye on a few so no doubt I will be reviewing them properly once they have been launched.

Let's Not Smash The Box Just Yet!

I'm having a snow day today, we are going to stay in our pjs for as long as possible, whilst snuggled underneath the blanket trying to forget how cold it is outside. I shall be drinking coffee, online shopping and writing this blog! After working all weekend, not having to get up early and get ready is lovely.

So today I will be reviewing a couple of new items I have just got from SmashBox and you'll be surprised there's  not even a hint of a lipstick in there, I must have been having a off day when I ordered them ha! Infact it was because I have been to the SmashBox counter a few times and I'm never really that impressed with the lipsticks, they are about the same price as Mac so I just think I prefer them.

So here are my new goodies!

Yes they are all eye products, this is kind of new for me because although I do have some eye products it's not really something that I'm to bothered about and so I just have a few shades I wear all the time. Even these aren't anything outrageous, just my normal colour palette that I stick it, it's funny because when I was younger I was obsessed by BarryM dazzle dust, I used to have them in every colour and used to wear rainbow eyeshadow, oh how I thought I looked so cool but I was probably about 16 and soon grew out of it, thank god!!

The first one I got and the reason why I placed my order was for Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in brown, this I will be using on my eyebrows kind of like Anastasia DipBrow. I had switched this in the shop before so I knew it was the perfect consistency , I have been wanting to get the DipBrow for months now but they have a min spend and with the shipping fee I had just never got round to it so when I found this I thought it would be perfect to try as something similar. I loved it, be warned tho you have to have a very light hand, it took me a fee goes to get used to it but once I had I was in love and it's waterproof, perfect no one wanted to be caught in the rain and there brows end up halfway down there face. I would defiantly recommend this for anyone who was wanting to try the DipBrow but didn't want to pay the shipping fee.
Next I got a Eyeshadow Trio in twilight theses are everything that you need to get a smokey eye look, the colour a super pigmented and really blendable, I got these because the colours that I normally wear are more taupe/brown/grey so I never really wear a proper smokey eye. SmashBox have some lovely trios but for me this one will be enough, I will only use it when I'm going out so this will literally last me years.
The last two products are the Cream Eye Liner in Lava and Midnigt Brown. These I will use a lot as I normally just wear eyeliner and mascara on a day to day bases. Lava is a dark grey and mignight brown is a dark brown, I find for during the day these kind of colours look less harsh then a solid black. The eyeliner is really creamy and easy to apply they could easily be smudged out if you didn't want a solid line.
I am really happy with all these products but I had tested them on different occasion at the counter before I ordered them so I knew the consistency was good already. I'm really loving SmashBox products recently but then again they are a brand of Estée launder so I wouldn't expect anything less then great products. I'm also going to order the pore minimiser primer as I got a tester and wow it makes your skin look amazing so I will review that once it arrives and I've worn it a few times.

It's A Red Nose Kind Of Day

I stumbled across the launch of the limited edition new Rimmel London Kate lipstick this morning and they have  teamed up with Red Nose Day so £1.67 of every lipstick sold is going to charity! Well obviously I was sold straight away.

The lipstick is a bright red with slight orange tones in it so it's a perfect spring colour as we should start thinking about hanging up our purples and wines, I'm hanging onto mine for a few more months though I'm not ready till I see some sunshine!!

The consistency and pigmentation are the same as the other Rimmel Kate lipsticks, it's very creamy and really pigmented! I think it was £5.95 and in Superdrug they currently have a 2 for £10.

I really like this colour I have a Dior one that is similar but more on the orange side which I wore constantly last summer and when I was on holiday so I can see me wearing this a lot when spring/summer finally decides to make an appearance, I would defiantly recommend this and the fact your giving to charity how could you not.

Sangria Is Made For Mondays!

I work in a restaurant so I have never been one of them 'thank god it's Friday' kind of girls, defiantly more 'thank god it's Tuesday'  so as most people are returning back to work on a Monday I'm normally quite content in the fact I know I have a day off soon, however this Monday just started off particularly bad, firstly I possibly had one to many glasses of wine last night so I woke up with a unexpected headache and then I got stuck in traffic for 2 hours on my way to work which ment I was late and when I finally made it to work I had forgot my office door keys so had to go puck up someone else's! Today was just not the day for me, until I received a little parcel containing these beauties!!

So after receiving my lip monthly bag with the horrendous Milani lip gloss in I wasn't ready to right them off just yet so I ordered some of there lipsticks from amazon! As far as I'm aware they don't actually deliver to the UK but they were on Amazon and there were loads of different colours and I think we're about £3 each with free delivery if I remember correctly. The three I chose were Sangria, Teddy Bare and Nude Creme.

Firstly I love the packaging with the colour on the bottom, there is nothing worse then having to open up every lipstick looking for a particular one, this is defiantly one of my hated things about Mac lipsticks, they literally all look the same.

The consistency of the lipsticks is beautifully, so creamy and moisturising, I am normally more into matte lipsticks but it has just been so cold recently and my lips are so dry that all my favourites have been stuck in my wardrobe for weeks now! And I've been going mostly with lip liner and lip balm.

I chose Sangria which is a dark wine colour, this I would compare to Macs Satin rebel, very similar in colour and consistency, the pigmentation of rebel is slightly but then again it is nearly 5 times more in price so you would expect that. I love this colour it has defiantly been a favourite over autumn. Next there was Teddy Bare, this is very similar to Macs Velvet Teddy which I have still not been able to get my hands one so this was an exciting one for me, it also will match perfectly to my two newest lip liners strip down and spice from Mac. This will defiantly be a permentant fixture in my handbag. And then there was Nude Creme, now this one is a weird one for me it's a pinky nude, I normally go towards a brown/taupe nude so I don't really have anything like this colour, I like it but the verdict is still out on whether it's something I will actually wear. I can see it being more of a spring colour so maybe then I will be able to make up my mind but currently I'm not sure if the colour is me!
On amazon you can also buy Milani baked blush, lip liners and other shades of lipsticks, I will defiantly be buying a few more of these lipsticks at £3 they are a bargain!! I will defiantly be having a look at other products and trying them out!

I've Got Lipstick On My Mind

Is it obvious yet?

Hi I'm Carlie and I'm addicted to lipsticks!

So as you can imagine when I heard there was a monthly subscription called 'Lip Monthly' that will send you 3/4 lip products, that I had to try it out!  http://www.lipmonthly.com this is $10 a month which works about with shipping about £12 to the UK but I think now they have an offer for half price on your first bag.

This was the December bag. You receive a cute little makeup bag like this every time and the products are full size from different American brands I think. I love this idea, and because it's so cheap if I don't like them all I just think oh well at least I've tried that brand now. When you get the bag you receive a card that will tell you a little bit about the product and how much they are, this months bag was worth $40 if I remember correctly.

1. L.AGirl semi-permanent LipLiner in Wine - I love this colour I have a few lipsticks similar so this was perfect for me. It's a auto liner so no pencil sharpeners. The liner itself it really pigmented and creamy and doesn't dry you lips out at all. I've wore this a few times as it matches perfectly with Mac Sin which was in my autumn favourites.
I've heard a lot about this brand so I will defiantly be looking to try out some more of there products

2.  Magnolia Matte Lip Colour, Matador - This was the most expensive product in the bag I think it said $18, I went and had a look at the website and it looks like this is a new company. The lip colour looks like it would be a lipgloss but it goes on more like a lip stain, it looks like it would be very dark but it goes on lighter however it is very build able so you could have it darker. I actually like just the one coat and I think that will probably wear it like that. I would defiantly try some more of these products although I think for what it is it is possibly abit pricey as I don't think there's any difference between that and the boujour lip stains which are only £7 and the colours are actually more pigmented on them.

3.Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss, Nude Tough - I was really happy when I got this brand because I have watched a lot of YouTube videos where there use things from this brand, from what a gather they are a drugstore brand in America so there items are pretty cheap. Firstly I am not a lipgloss person and never have been so I didn't have high hopes for this anyways. The colour is a very light nude which I like however my liking of this product stops here. The constancy is very sticky, it is very glittery and reminds me of something a 7 year old little girl would wear to a school disco. But like I said I was never going to like it because it's a lipgloss.
I have however ordered a few items from Milani because I do want the try this brand out so I will be posting something about the brand when it arrives.

4. NYC Mocha - LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour, if I had got this before I defiantly would have put this in my autumn favourites! The lipstick itself is a really creamy lipstick which is perfect for this cold weather as it doesn't dry your lips out, the colour is really pigmented and for me this is a perfect day lipstick so it has been in my handbag ever since my bag arrived.
I think NYC might be a sneaky company that I've never realised how good some of there products are so I'm differently going to have a look at some more of the products as the super drugs near me sell it.

I think for the next couple of months I will be putting what I get in my bag up every time I get a new one because I really like the idea of this subscription. I've also subscribed to a few different ones so I will be reviewing them once they have arrived.

Let's Not Whisper About Whispies!

I have spent what seems to be the last two years watching endless abouts of YouTube videos! This is one of the factors to the huge bags under my eyes, you would think it would be my two year old son but oh no it's that I spend hours looking at videos once I get into bed! I can't remember the last time I went to bed and actually went straight to sleep. God damn you YouTube!

So in these hours I have spent on YouTube most have them have been watching American vlogs and tutorials where a lot of the products we don't have over here but when I started writing this blog I decided I would go on a hunt and see if you can get them shipped here and one of the products are Red Cherry Eyelashes.

I found these on amazon, very simple actually! So I ordered 4 different sets. I prefer more of a whispie lash then a dramatic one so they are the ones I ordered. These were between £2.40 - £2.49 and free delivery so complete winner. The one bad thing about ordering stuff like eyelashes online is that you can't actually see them so you don't fully know what they will be like.

I have wore the Demi WSP which was very similar to the WSP that is the the picture, I loved these! They weren't too heavy, they just made my lashes look a little bit fuller which is what I like and they were so light weight is forgot I had them on for most of the night. The one down side is that you don't get any eyelash glue with it however when I was looking you can get one from Amazon as well for £5 which is actually the one that Mac sells it's called DUO.
For the price I would recommend these, they are defiantly worth a try! And the WSP are without a doubt my favourite!

I Just Can Not Live Without You!

Everyday I wake up and at some point and will put on my makeup, whether that be my full makeup routine or just enough to cover the huge circles under my eyes. Don't get me wrong I will quite happily leave the house and pop to the shop with no makeup on, I just personally enjoy doing my makeup.

Everyone has there favourite products, mine come from a few years of trying different brand and reading blogs to get inspiration of what other people have tried.

These are my favourite beauty products that now I just can't imagine my life without, I thought it would have been more difficult to choose my favourite but when I was looking for certain items I realised that they were either in my bag or in front of my mirror which I think is a good sign that these are my most used products.

As you can see these are well used products, next time I'll have to remember to give them a wipe down.

Right well let's begin!

1. NYC Smooth Skin Face Powder - I think I stumbled upon this one day on Pinterest and thought it looked interesting, for some reason up until that point I had never found a nice powder it tended to be I would just buy a new one every time I needed one because I thought they were basically just all the same until I found this! First I'll start with the bad points, it's a loose powder, there's just something about loose powders that no matter how hard you try it will get everywhere! But part from that it's perfect, firstly it's translucent so it does matter if I'm 'tanned' you just need that one pot. It lasts forever even with the spillage's I've had that pot for about 5/6 months and it maybe just over half empty. It makes your skins have this flawless appearances that doesn't look powdery and it really sets your makeup so you have to sliding throughout the day. I think it's only £2.95 I might be wrong but if so it's not much more, I got mine from Superdrug and that's the only shop I've seen sell this brand but you can also order it online.

2. Mac Sheertone Blusher in Springsheen - Firstly I will say that must of my blushes are Mac, the consistency, blend ability and colour pigment are by far the best I have come across as of yet! This is a light peaches/pink blush, for me this is my go to one when I'm just doing my everyday makeup it's the perfect colour! It has a slight shimmer to it which stops it from looking to flat. This is £18 although it is a little pricey because the colour pigment is so good it will last you a lot longer, I've had this one for a good few months and it isn't showing much sign of wear so far.

3.Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation - This for me is the holy grail of foundations, thank you Rimmel! Before this came out I don't think I had found one particular type or brand that I used all the time, I swapped a lot between Mac Pro Longwear, Estée Lauder double wear and a few high street brands but then this came along! Even after using this for over a year occasionally I'll forgot how much I love it and buy something else and I straight away think 'what are you doing'  as soon as I put it in. This for me is very similar it Estée Lauder double wear without the hefty price tag! It's a thick foundation with good coverage but doesn't leave your face looking or feeling heavy. I like to get it is a few different colours so depending how pale I am I will always have one to match. I think this is about £9 to buy regularly but most of the time the is always some kind of offer on so that's when I stock up. The Asda near me stocks it and quite often has this on offer for £5 so keep an eye out!

4. Mac Liquidlast Liner - 'A rich colour liquid eye liner that combines long-lasting wear with a non-smudge, non-flake precision line. Goes on effortlessly. Applies with its own brush to draw a perfectly defined line!' I couldn't have said it better myself thanks Mac. This is the perfect eye liner it will not move all day! I regular work 12 hours and when I get home I will have barely have any makeup on apart my eyeliner and it will have not smudged even the tiniest amount! This is £15.50 but it worth every penny when you no longer resemble a baby panda!

5. Beauty Blender - I think this is a Real Techniques one but I'm not 100% sure, you can get them in a few different brands but from the ones I've tried they are all basically the same! This will give you the most flawless finish, something that not even the best buffer brush could do! The trick is, is to wet it!! Wet it, let the sponge absorb the water, squeeze all the water out and it should have doubled in size then I just put my foundation straight onto my skin in little dots and then dab it in the the sponge! Once you've done this and then go back to a brush you will notice the difference, granted I do get annoyed every morning when I sit down in front of my mirror put my primer on and then remember I have to get up to wet my sponge but it is totally worth it!

6. Mac LipLiner in Soar - This is my current go to colour whether I'm just wearing it all over my lips alone or putting lipstick on top I always have this in my bag. Recently I have mostly just been using this as my all over colour and then putting lip balm onto because the weather is so cold my lips have been really sore and dry and I think this gives me the best of both worlds. This is a mauve/ pink colour, I think I mentioned it in my autumn favourites but I can imagine this being one of my all year round favourites now! This retails for £12.50

7. Urban Decay Perversion - My friend got me this for my birthday in November, before that I didn't really have anything from Urban Decay every time I looked at it I always thought it was just very out there colours which isn't something I'm interested in so I never looked properly, however now I have this is probably the best mascara I have ever used! I often just put mascara on during the day so I like my lashes to be quite thick and this does it in one coat. A friend of mine also told me that you can get the white to put in first which she said makes it even better so I'm going to get that and try it out!

8. Chanel Base Lumere - This is the most expensive product at £36 but it's worth every penny! It's a moisturiser and primer together, it leaves your skin feeling so smooth and in my eyes is the perfect base. It last for month as well that bottle I've had for about 3 months and isn't even half gone yet, when before I was using the Smashbox photo finish and that wouldn't even last a month if I used it everyday.

9. Smashbox Soft Lights Poudre Eclatante - Basically this is a powder highlight! I like quite a dewy look to my makeup so I use highlight quite a lot and this is the perfect day one! It isn't to shimmer to where it looks like your going to the club which I think a lot of them can be it just gives you that perfect light reflection that you want during the day. I think this was about £18 but again this will last you months because you use such a small amount of it!

10. Barry M Shape & Define - This little kit is £5.99 and is everything you need for perfect brows. You get little tweezers, a double ended brush, a creamy dark brown, a powder brown and a powder cream. I'm not sure if they do this in different colour because I've had this a while but I think you do a light and a dark option. For me this is everything you need, brows have become a massive thing over the past couple of years and out of everything I've tried this works best for me!
